A Special Playground for a Special School
Welcome to Warren Associations Website Page. To Find out more information on who we are click on the links above.
Our current project is our most ambitious to date and will require funding of £188,000 in order to transform the main playground into a specialised outdoor learning environment. Our intention is to create a unique, inclusive, sensory-rich and challenging outdoor provision, accessible for all learners regardless of individual need and disability, with the means to be used as an extension to the school's curriculum.
We are looking to establish distinct areas such as Physical (swings, climbing frames, spinners, balance bikes, trim trails), Creative (imaginative mud kitchen, messy play stations, musical instruments), Science (sensory garden, allotment, landscaping, textured surfaces), Social and Emotional (calm area, 'break-out' spaces, dens), plus outdoor furniture, fencing and storage.
By designing the whole area into different learning zones, there would be endless ways for learners to further develop their problem solving skills, emotional feelings, memory, sensory processing, communication, imagination, social interaction, mobility and independence.
If you are interested in supporting our new outdoor learning project and would like to know more about us or the school, please do not hesitate to contact us.
