Warren School Council is made up of learners from across the school. The representatives were voted in by their classes and have the opportunity to attend regular meetings to be the voice of all learners in school. Meetings are held half termly and we discuss issues that are affecting our school and learners share their ideas about what they would like to see at Warren School.
Warren School Sculpture Trail.
As part of Learning Disability Pride week from 15th-21st June 2019, we will be carrying out a range of activities including a Sculpture Trail. Each class will make a sculpture based on "our favourite book". Sculptures will be placed around the school site and a guidebook will allow learners and visitors to follow the trail and view the creativity of our classes. We look forward to seeing each classes creation!
October 2018 - Centenary of WW1.
Learners celebrated the 100th anniversary since the end of WW1 by creating a piece of collaborative artwork. The school council invited every learner in school to make a poppy to add to a whole school piece of art. Click HERE for the article in the Lowestoft Journal.
Learners enjoyed making their poppies from a whole range of different materials. The varied nature of the mediums used produced a 3D effect piece which we proudly display in school.
Bring and Buy Sale - 9th March 2018
The Warren School Student Council organised a bring and buy sale to help raise funds for the school.
The council invited parents to come in and browse their wares, and altogether they raised £190 which will be used to buy new playground equipment and new equipment for the food tech room. It was a good opportunity for learners to use money in a real life situation. Thank you to everyone who supported this event!
Following the bring and buy sale, some new food technology equipment has been purchased. Students will across the school will benefit from the addition of the new equipment.
