Norfolk Steps Training for Parents

Norfolk Steps provides training and resources to schools and settings in Norfolk and surrounding areas to support early intervention and prevention through a whole-school or setting approach. It focuses on managing behaviours that challenge or may risk harm. Norfolk Steps promotes positive behaviour through a therapeutic approach.

It is ‘The process of taking necessary steps to ensure that every young person is given an equality of opportunity to develop socially, to learn and to enjoy community life.’

This e-session is built on Norfolk Steps evidence-based principles and will support families to use similar approaches as those used in Norfolk Steps schools or settings, including consistency, understanding behaviour as communication, use of positive language and prioritising positive and nurturing relationships.

The e-session is divided into 5 parts which will help families to engage effectively with the content and be able to start using Steps approaches!
